Tensile Testers

Benz Material Testing Instruments offers three series of tensile testers (Universal Testing Machines), as well as custom machines. The TT 2100 series has 36 inch crosshead travels, and the smallest tester is single screw. At the other end of the spectrum, the TT 2300, a freestanding, not countertop, tester, has a 56-inch crosshead .

Benz Tensile Testers are for textiles, plastics, rubber, thin films, foils, leather, exotic composites, wire, metals and more.

TT2100 Series Tensile Testers can show realtime force and elongation on a computer monitor as the force and elongation values change.

The TT2100 series was designed to determine tensile strength and elongation for most materials and components. These testers offer accurate and reliable test results for production, quality assurance, and research needs. A wide range of testing capabilties are possible including tensile, elongation, compression, shear, peel, flexural, and proof of load for most materials and components. The TT2100 can replace many specific testers and computerize the data-acquisition functions.

This instrument offers accurate and reliable test results for production, quality assurance, and research needs. Standard load frames range in capacity from 250 lbf to 10,000 lbf (455 kgf to 9,090 kgf), and up to 35" (915mm) crosshead travel.

The TT2100's are available with a complete line of accessories: grips, fixtures, adapters, environmental chamber and extensometers.

Other system features include an emergency stop switch and programmed safety limits to eliminate load cell overload.

Software provides data acquisition and reanalysis of past results, through test curve display and statistical analysis summary. Test data is easily exported to most word processing, spreadsheet and SPC software.

TT2100 Features

  • affordable, reliable design increases testing-budget buying power
  • simple to use - ready-to-test - software speeds setup time
  • maximum tests per hour - uninterrupted "load & go" operation
  • precise, reproducible results - assures quality results
  • compact design answers space problems
  • custom reports can be generated, per your specifications

Other system features include an emergency stop switch and programmed safety limits to eliminate load cell overload.

Benz TT 2200 series stretch high elongation materials to 48", offering realtime force and elongation values.

As realtime force and elongation values change, Benz TT 2200 tensile testers display them on a computer monitor for study, comparison, printing and record-keeping.

TT 2220's offers uninterrupted "load and go" operation. Results are precise and reproducible. Reports are easily customized.

The Benz TT 2210, the largest of the Benz tensile tester series, has a tensile force of 10,000 lbs. The smallest in this series, the TT 2201, applies up to 1000 lbs. of force. All crossheads in this series extend as much as 48 inches.

TT 2200's operate on Benzwin 2000 software, native to Windows 2000, and they include the software, Windows 2000, and PCs as part of the complete system. Benzwin 2000 software can also run on Windows 95, NT, 98, ME and XP. Benzwin software provides data acquisition and comparison with past results through test curve displays and statistical analysis summaries.

Stress and strain analysis does not require repeat testing and calculating, saving time for production managers, quality controllers and researchers.

In addition to tensile testing, Benz tensile testers test tear strength, peel strength, adhesion, coefficient of friction, burst, proofload, stress relaxation and custom tests.

TT 2200's are compact, requiring only about three square feet of counter space. TT 2200 hardware includes an emergency stop switch and programmed safety limits to eliminate load cell overload.

A number of grips for different types of material are available. Fixtures, adapters, environmental chambers, sample preparation equipment and extensometers are also available. All are detailed at www.benztesters.com.

Benz supports all Benz tensile testers with a free one-year warranty.

The TT 2300 offers accurate testing, powerful tensile force and 56" crosshead travel.

The Benz TT 2300, the largest of the standard Benz tensile testers, has a tensile force of 20,000 lbs. and a 56" crosshead. It stands 74" tall, but requires only two by four feet of floorspace.

The Benz TT 2300 displays realtime force and elongation on a computer monitor for study, comparison, printing and record-keeping.

Operation is uninterrupted "load and go," saving enormous amounts of operator time. Results are precise and reproducible. Reports are easily customized.

Benzwin software provides data acquisition and comparison with past results through test curve displays and statistical analysis summaries. The Benzwin 2000 software, native to Windows 2000, is part of the TT 2300 system, which includes software, Windows 2000, and a PC.

Benzwin 2000 software stores test data and holds it for comparison and model building. Stress and strain analysis therefore does not require repeat testing and calculating, saving time for production managers, quality controllers and researchers.

In addition to tensile testing, Benz tensile testers test tear strength, peel strength, adhesion, coefficient of friction, burst, proofload, stress relaxation and custom tests.
